Forest Creek Golf Club & The O’Neal School Launch Traditions Golf Academy

Forest Creek Golf Club and The O’Neal School, located in nearby Southern Pines, N.C., have partnered to launch Traditions Golf Academy, an unparalleled junior golf academy experience.

Traditions Golf Academy combines The O’Neal School’s rigorous college preparatory curriculum and elite junior instruction from PGA Tour coach Nick Bradley with regular access to Forest Creek Golf Club, a world-class private golf facility with 36 holes designed by Tom Fazio.

The O’Neal School’s academic excellence and prime location in golf-rich Pinehurst, N.C. – just minutes from Forest Creek Golf Club – creates the ideal environment for Traditions Golf Academy to develop competitive junior golfers who aspire to compete at the college level at the finest universities across the United States and abroad.

Forest Creek Golf Club is widely recognized as one of the finest private golf clubs in the U.S. The facility offers two 18-hole championship golf courses – the rugged North Course and the pristine South Course – and four world-class practice areas that deliver true-to-course conditions for players to develop all aspects of their game.

“Finding the right instructor, partnering with Forest Creek Golf Club, and creating a curriculum for Traditions students took time,” said John Elmore, Head of The O’Neal School. “My team wanted to make sure we had everything in place to launch Traditions with success from Day 1. We are confident we have done just that. We are truly honored and excited about bringing this program to Pinehurst. We feel it will be really impactful for the future of golf.”

Enrollment at Traditions Golf Academy will be limited to 20 students in grades 8 through 12, allowing for highly personalized instruction both in the classroom and on the golf course.

Bradley, Traditions’ Director of Golf Instruction, brings an impressive coaching pedigree. A native of London who moved to the U.S. in 2005, Bradley has coached players on every professional worldwide Tour, including former World No. 1 Justin Rose, PGA Tour winner Kevin Chappell, and Leona Maguire, a former No. 1 in the women’s World Amateur Golf Ranking. Bradley also served as an external consultant to captain Paul McGinley as he led Team Europe to victory in the 2014 Ryder Cup.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to have the ability to redefine the landscape of junior golf development,” Bradley said. “Traditions Golf Academy gives me the perfect vehicle to develop the best-thinking, best-competing and the most technically-proficient juniors globally. This will be a boutique, hands-on experience for both parents and student athletes. It’s as far away from a cookie-cutter program as you can get.”

Juniors at Traditions Golf Academy will receive technical swing training using TrackMan technology, physical development, tournament preparation and strategy, and mental training to prepare them for competition.

Traditions Golf Club is now accepting enrollment applications for August 2021. For more information, please visit traditionsgolfacademy.com or reach out to info@traditionsgolfacademy.com or 910-725-4653.

We are truly honored and excited about bringing this program to Pinehurst. We feel it will be really impactful for the future of golf.
